I watched the first half of your dvd. You make it look so EASY!! I thought I was an okay painter but I know nothing compared to what you show.

Pursuing my lifelong dream

Hi Darrell,

I want to thank you for giving me this opportunity for pursuing my lifelong dream. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be painting today. I was made to believe when I was young that all the talent in the family went to my aunt and that I had none. It took me many years of therapy and YOU to overcome this.

Will you please let mek now when the new series is going to be released, I want to be the first one to get it.

It was amazing

I just finished watching your poppies DVD and I just had to email you that it was an amazing DVD! I was giggling so much with your funny comments and noises you were making. It made the video fun to watch.

I'm going to paint the design this weekend and I'll send you a picture. It will be a nice change from decorative painting.

I was enthralled

Dear Darrell, I received the dvd and was entralled as I watched it. Even my family (16 year old and hubby) watched in fascination and neither paints- lol! You make it all look so easy...not that it is certaninly, but you take a lot of the mystery out of things,

You Two Are A Perfect Combination

I'm enjoying viewing the Pet Portrait Technique that you and Valerie produced

I have not started painting them yet. Hope she will have DVD's for people portrait too in the future.  I would like that very much.

I like Valerie's technique in teaching how to paint the pets. She shows every detail of how it is done. You have done a great job in the filming; enlarging each detail, focusing on each area . Valerie used every minute of the video explaining each step. The filming was so helpful, zeroing on even the minutest detail and Valerie explaining each movement of her hand , every stroke she made.

The two of you are a perfect combination.

Explaining each time what colors she is using, how much of each, how much of the medium. I was hanging to every word she is saying. Good job all of you. Thanks . Nene

Outstandinger!

Darrell,

I thought your Basic Technique Series was outstanding BUT in reviewing the Tall Ships Series, I have coined the phrase, "OUTSTANDINGER". They are not only a teaching tool on painting tall ships, they are a semester's education on the history of each ship. One can feel the love you have for Tall Ships, I almost felt like one of the people working on the ship instead of a student painter! (I even sent for a couple of the books you refer to on the DVD.) You definitely have the ability to peek ones interest.  Thank you, "from the bottom of my heart", for the information you shared on each ship.  I refer to the series as Tall Ships 101.
